Listening~

I don't know what to say,

about you, people, who talk

so much. Except. Why the anger,

when I, finally speak?

I give in to your way,

accept, and admire, your walk;

watch and wonder, as you linger.

I let loose my tongue & you find me weak?!

Eat, please, I am tired of your words.

I cannot translate your venom.

More vulnerable am I, than a flock of birds.

And, then some.

Fill your mouth with some food,

and leave me alone, to brood.

In The Mourning

in the sadness of mourning,
the sun loses it's shine. flowers
bring no joy. the land is desolate.
our eyes, waterfalls. we wander

aimlessly, no words inspire.
no desires nip at our feet.
why do we move? we sit,
melt into a tree, stare at the sky.

our hearts hang heavy, a magnet
grasping for the center of the earth.
the molten core, of a planet
that has no soul.

Silence, Please

What's up with all of this judgemental bullshit?
I, for one, am not growing in it.
Give me some rose colored glasses,
when I ponder the masses.

No flowers bloom, from poisoned lips
spilling hatred; the sun is eclipsed
in darkness - we will all lose our way,
if we don't consider, the words we say.

If one's neighbor, does you no harm,
who are you, to sound an alarm
and speak aloud, for all to hear,
'tis a family of monsters - for all to fear!

Good Lord, hold your tongue!
Or, it will surely be you, who next, is hung!

XOXO

Oh lover! You are so far away,
and I am afraid, you prefer it that way!
This heart, losses have broken,
longs for a sweet word to be spoken.

The desires that run so deep,
causes love to ooze and weep--
it longs to find it's way around
that tender soul, I finally found.

There is inspiration in your smile,
and I was ready to relax, for a while.
Oh where did you go, oh, lover of mine?
Why can't you drop me a short line?

I miss your smile, miss your voice.
Sure wish I, were your life's choice.

Welcome to America

"Go home, go home!" They shout,
fists in the air, they blockade the route;
poor, huddled masses, yearn to breathe-
are welcomed with shouts of "Leave"!

How ashamed we should all be,
whose ancestors wished to be free-
and pushed the Natives off the land,
we now refuse to allow others to stand

on these beautiful majestic shores.
No, no! We run to lock our doors!
"The house is full, we have no room,
go back home and face your doom!"

Many are sent back, to certain death,
and we will die, with lies on our breath.

Boundaries

I drift off, into the corners.

They become round, I bounce

from wall to wall. This circle

is a boxed up Universe, tops

folded in. Empty space,

lets in the light, casts

shadows to confuse me.

I wish to remain centered.

My boundaries are felt deeply,

and they bring me comfort.

I do not wish, to go beyond.

I am fine in my space.

Yet, I continually seem,

to fall through the cracks.

Robbed

Please do not use, your own hand,

no one will ever understand.

Yet, we all do, how can we not?

To give up, always, a buried thought.

There are those, unconcerned--

or so they claim-- with how he burned

out on life, used his belt, sat in a chair...

Now, his laughter, is no longer there.

Most of us will forget, tomorrow

we will never know, his family's sorrow.

Life will continue, to cruelly go on,

whether or not, one is here, or gone.

We should all give life it's due reward,

and never lay on our own sword.
